Corporate Anti Hero

Maria and I just got back from a lunchtime cycle to the Amsterdamse Bos (Amsterdam Forest). In conception and execution it's a classic piece of Dutch engineering.

"The poor of Amsterdam lack easy access to the countryside"
"Let's build them a forest!"

This was in the 1930s. The reason we went though was to visit the pancake farm which sits on one corner of the forest. Much as cheese comes from Cheese Farms in Holland pancakes come from pancake farms. A fine idea and one which should be continued.

Mmmm pancakes...
